its been some time since the last concert i went to..
so i didn't consider much and agree with mintz to go to chen sheng concert last last fri... plus plus i've seen him perform a few years b4.. (o.. not a few.. 6 years liao.. wah) and his live performance is nothing to say one.. 3 musketeers, mintz, simon and me went.. no regrets man!
sad to say.. but the truth is sheng ge newer songs dun realli touch mi... but but but.. his old songs.. his lyrics and tunes mesmerize mi eh... haa.. and "bie rang wo ku" was attached to my brain for a few days after the concert.. =''=
like the way sheng ge "tell stories".. full of meanings yet funni.. and not fake like some other singers.. hee.. he said this -->
"all of us here are champions! once upon a night, when ur parents........... u are the champion runner! but after that night.. most of us never became champions anymore.." haa.. wat a way to put it.. =P
another thing he said was -->
"no point guess and compose what a audience like to listen.. what if i guess it wrongly.. and both parties "bu shuang".. i compose wat i like and if the listeners dun like it.. at least i "shuang".. haa"
true! haa.. that sentence will help mi with chosing wat songs to perform during performances... hee..
anyway, thanks to mintz.. i got the chance to meet sheng ge(that wat they call him) and his band members.... ah wen drummer, xinyi basses and the others i dunno their names.. its an honor to meet them! especially xinyi the female basses.. haa.. i knew abt her thru cheer chen's works.. know that she plays the bass for cheer b4.. hee..
came to know that they onli practice once a year! for 4 to 5 days they practice... and they hav a whole database of sheng ge's songs.. u name it, they can play it if its in that songlist... i think its more then 100 songs.. maybe 200.. not sure.. amazing.. respect them for that.. dunno when can i do that.. =''=
