thank God the event when on quite smoothly.. the heavy rain did not come at the wrong time.. haa.. imagine if it rains when we are unloading the things .. or when we r packing up.. unimaginable.. =''=

thanks to all the peeps who came down to support, namely... zhenzhen, peter, dasmond n v's parents... the aunty and uncle who bought our album! =D and passerby who cheered for us! n maybe some friends who came down secretly n did not show their face? haa..
of cos to neek our soundman for the day, and zhang yan emcee for the day (great job!).. and patricia, sandy.. who are always there to help us out.. thanks =)

esp thanks to siling for make-up and hair!.. haaa

well, these are just a start.. we will most probably be involved in this year's streetfest in june too..

Cheer Chen Sun Concert 2009 SG

kinda late to update this.. cos it was 2 wks ago already! haa
anyway.. it was a great concert!.. cheer's "emoness" is very de influential..
well, but the "consciousness" of the person beside me.. (yeh u guessed it) kinda spoils the mood a little.. haa..
maybe also becos we were not sitting at the front seats like the last cheer's concert we attended.. the music was not loud eunf for me! keke~
of cos there are still many moments of the concert that got me memorized....

下个星期去英国 ...的造型

i actually dun quite understand what she meant by saying下个星期去英国 is a song about friendship at the 签唱会.. cos the song sound kinda sad to me.. and u know.. typical friendship songs should sound happy.. =''= she explains it at the concert..

it is so true and close to heart... maybe not the 不敢 part eh.. its just sometimes u may change so much that u didn't know how to face the once close friend of yours.. tot about my primary school best friend.. wonder how is she now..

the first half of the concert.. everybody was 乖乖的 seated down.. it was this song 等待，that got the crowd standing! or u can say everybody went out of control! Cheer really have her ways with the fans.. which artiste will take out his or her camera to take photo with the audience? so cute... haa

first time hearing cheer "scolding" the audience.. hahaha.. so funny!
think after she said that.. it was high high high all the way! everyone (almost) stood up till the end of the concert =DD
think there was... 5 or 6 encores!

enjoyed the concert thoroughly! minus the fact that i wish i can sit closer to the stage.. hahaaa

sat... it all started with the eawards..
while on the way to buy lunch.. then we heard a similar voice...
绮贞! =P she was doing her sound check.. i think bevlyn n me went abit ga ga for a while.. haa..



and that's the closest we would get b4 the 工作人员 asked us to leave.. eh..
i tot we will be able to see her in a closer range or even take photo with her at the post party or something..
but no loh.. she disappear so fast.. haa..

sun... so then decided to go to her autograph session the next day! keke~
well, i tried to take photo of her.. but i was too far away and i dun have those SLR cam lor.. seems like more n more ppl own a SLR nowadays eh... found some photos online thou..



manage to get her autograph n shook her hands! =D of cos as u will know.. i couldn't say a word when i saw her... haa (oh well.. yeh.. i couldn't say a word with any person i not familar with! =''=)

mon.. went to drum workshop by Sonny Emory.. (well know as drummer of earth wind and fire) which was Amazing!
thou i fell asleep for awhile during his 45mins solo... haa.. too chim for me ba i guess..
the answers he answered and his demonstration at the qna session was very insightful!
i always have the interest in drum... didn't have to chance to really learn or play thou..





tues.. went jamming preparing for gig

wed.. gig at sp to help sp guitarist club for their enrollment week..
thou not many ppl were at the showcase.. it was gd "training" for us.. haa after that when to echo for lessons..

sat.. went to mosaic concert - Brazilian Darlings: A Double Bill by Eliane Elias & Ivan Lins.
Eliane Elias and band did mostly bossa nova stuffs.. her singing and playing on the piano.. amazing... the bassist (mark johnson who is husband of eliane elias) and drummer (didn't get his name) was ... Amazing (running out of vocabs here)
and Ivan Lin's music sounded more "modern".. i guess that was Brazilian popular music.. seems like a fusion of brazilian, jazz, pop, etc.... the solo the guitarist did.. out of the world...
on the whole.... very de CHIM!
i say until like i know what they playing right... i DUNNO a THING! haa
struggled to keep myself a wake for quite a while actually (becos of the long day i had also eh..teaching from morning) ..opps.. feel kinda bad to fall asleep when these pros are giving their best on stage...
so nice to see them really.. n REally enjoying themselves...

sun.. after church ..suppose to help out for church youth camp at the forest adventure (bedok reservoir)
but the rain came.. and they have to change their plans... hai hao eh.. the flying fox thingy looks rather scary for me... hahaaa.. n was suppose to look after the youth.. i think they look after us, the "old ppl" 还差不多.. haa
then all of us went to kallang leisure park.. the youth went to ice skate.. and we just "toured" the place n slag at coffee bean...

rushed off then.. for... yet another mosaic concert - the yellow jackets with mike stern..
3 words... chim Chim CHIM! for the first few pieces... can hear that there are no landing point to the "melody" at all... its like going on and on.. u can't expect what to hear next.. that is jazz guess (abit fusion eh.. ) chim..

2 nites of consecutive Chimilogy music.... wow.. really will have headache eh..
i really think i'm not considered as a guitarist after hearing them.. hahahaa...
again... enjoy seeing the musicians.. having fun and enjoying what they are playing..
something to learn from... enjoy urselves on stage.. =)

this week... will be involve in renci hospital charity event..
yesterd after the rehearsal.. the in-charge took us on a short tour.. kinda sad to know there are these bunch of ppl who are waiting to die.. and the other hospitals ard couldn't or didn't have enough space for them.. life is fragile.. treasure the ppl ard u...

spent almost a full day (more then 12hrs!) at singapore eawards..
kinda tiring.. but worth it! =D

yeh.. i chose most of the songs performed.. hahaaa..
its a pity thou that we didn't have the chance to play live.. more chances to come! =D

if u notice how come mi hair became shorter? no i didn't cut my hair lah.. the hairstylist did that!
and i had a hard time having my hair back to "normal".. haa..
